Anti-Ping
Prevent unwanted mentions and control who can be pinged using the Anti-Ping module.
What is the Anti-Ping module?
The Anti-Ping module is an automated system that helps prevent unnecessary or unauthorized mentions in your server. When a user pings someone with a configured Anti-Ping role, the bot will automatically respond with a warning — unless the pinger has a bypass role.
This feature is especially helpful in communities where staff or high-ranking members should not be pinged casually.
How does it work?
When someone mentions a user who has an Anti-Ping role, and the person pinging them does not have a Bypass role:
- The bot will send a message discouraging the ping.
- The response message is fully customizable using embeds.
- You can personalize it using Anti-Ping Variables.
Messages are ignored if the pinging user has a Bypass Role, or if the mentioned user does not have an Anti-Ping role.
How do I configure the Anti-Ping module?
To set up the Anti-Ping system, use the /config
command to open the configuration panel. In the Select Plugin dropdown, choose Moderation Plugins, and then select Anti-Ping Plugin. Click Enable.
Once enabled, you can configure:
- Anti-Ping Roles — members with these roles cannot be pinged.
- Bypass Roles — members with these roles are allowed to ping anyone.
- Custom Embed — fully customize the bot’s response message using embed formatting and Anti-Ping Variables.
Make sure to configure the Anti-Ping and Bypass roles to ensure the system works as intended.
